Thiago Silva only for a single year then yes. We could offer a deal where we have the option for extension. If he does well then trigger it, otherwise just get someone better next window. I'm against a straight two year deal with his high wages.
If we don't care about spending then just put a bid on Alaba from Bayern, he's on his final year of contract, in his prime, and can play both center back and left back; both positions of need.

So shouldn’t we have kept John Terry at 36? One could clearly see the decline in Terry even before he hit 36, the reason he wasn’t playing much. With the pace of the EPL and how fast the strikers/attackers are (Salah, Mané, Sterling, etc) we need defenders with pace.
