If they trade him they wont get the second that they used originally to get him the best I see is a 3rd and that's cus the jets have no leverage they can deny to trade him but that just leaves you paying a disgruntled player to sit on the bench
Miami had plenty of cap space and could easily take on half MGs money for this season if it meant a good return. He is a big, talented receiver, although granted can't block, but if you need a redzone threat, I would be looking at MG. Plus he does the best griddy in the league
The evaluation of Ferrell, as a pass rusher, is accurate… but, this season, the Raiders have been playing him on the inside of the defensive line, and he is actually very good at stopping the run from that position. Not top 5 draft pick good, but legit starting defensive linemen good for sure! He has real value, at that position, and if the Raiders will pony up on his bonus, I don't think they will have a hard time getting his salary off of their cap. I doubt they will get much in the way of compensation but, getting his salary off the books is really a much bigger deal for the Raiders than 5th or 6th round pick they will likely get for him. I think it's likely the Raiders will get him off their roster before the trade deadline.
Saying that Abrams "hasn't been good in his career" is STUPID!!! It's a great reminder why I stopped watching chat sports reports on a regular basis. They do seem to have an inside track on the 411, but their player and game evaluations are garbage. Abrams does suck in coverage, that is a statistical fact and can't be disputed… but coverage is not the only job of a safety. He is a beast of a blitzer and run stopper. He would really play better as a rotational/situational undersized LB. He already hits like a LB and he would have a lot less pass coverage to worry about and when he does have to cover the pass, it will be against slot receivers and TEs, working in a much tighter space and who are not as fast and easier to cover than the Xs and Ys who burn him when he is in the safety position. Abrams is not worth the 1st round draft pick the Raiders used to get him, not even close, but he does have real value and I could see the Raiders getting as high as a 3rd or 4th round pick from a team desperate for help in the secondary… although, the Raiders have basically been giving their players away under this new coach/GM so they might be content to just take a 5th and move on.

Dallas needs to get someone like Payne or even Roquan Smith. We can't stop the run for shit.
Some Jets fans are too stupid to realize that the issue is the sub par qb and not the unhappy wr.
