Bundesliga and Bayern are going to play a more offensive and wide open style. He is a great fit but at City where they play boring soccer against teams that park the bus he will never get the space to flourish. If Cancelo is just going to pass it at midfield and defend then his talents are wasted there. Ake seems better off in that role.

This season especially teams are not afraid to attack city. Cancelo seems to struggle in the defensive phase which overpowers his attacking capabilities.
If you go watch the united game you will understand why pep had no choice but to let this guy go. Cancelo didn’t pass the ball to foden even once in the first half, he kept dancing with ball until gave it to Casemiro to assist the Man U controversial goal. As good as cancelo is going forward, he is trash defensively. City lost so many duels against Liverpool because of him. Salah just love playing against him. Against united in the 6:3 win, he gave away an easy penalty. In peps last press conference he said the goal salah scored against him was unacceptable.

Cancelo struggles against good wingers . In the champions league he always struggled and against top teams he couldn't defend to save his life. He will do well in Bundesliga because teams are way worse there than in the Premier League

Cancelo looked really good in his first game, the assist was superb.
Sometimes a player just needs fresh air, a new team and coach to get back in their rythm.
Happens in every club, no need to blame anyone, thats just the buisness.
They all earn millions, nobody needs to regret anything in this case, its a win-win situation for everyone (especially since Mancity is a club build on oil-money and can sell players underpriced without running into financial issues)
Cancelo is a world class attacker but struggles defensively in big matches. Pep also plays a new system of a hybrid back 3 which further negates Cancelo's place in the starting 11. I think City will be ok offensively because they have so many attacking options. Defensively they will be stronger if I am honest. It would have been great to get somebody in (even on loan) just to have cover but I think this all occurred very late and their was no time left in the window.
Juls is like a roadside critic. He would have supported Cancelo if Cancelo was still at City.. juls didn't see this transfer coming from anywhere.. he is as shocked as any lament guy.. Juls is average divided by average.. i mean look at the team he supports.. PSG.. he is a critic and supports PSG?? Thats a gold hunter..
