Hes not Pirlo or Xavi and never will be I think people enjoy makin that joke including me but on a serious note in my opinion we have to remember we are not Liverpool of 2005 or 2008/09 we don't have top players if someone is capable of performing very well in 1 or 2 games they should be given more chance like other players. Look at Can, Lovren they made defensive mistakes early in the season but with more game time they have improved, the same way Allen has potential and he will start more games now cos of injury to Hendo and I have a feeling he will improve but whether he ll be sold in summer or not remains to be seen and that also depends on if we can reach top 4 and attract better Central Midfielder than what we already have: Hendo, Lucas, Allen, Milner. Can you think of any better proven central midfielder than these players who will come to us without CL??? I am not so sure, if you can think of anyone do mention.

Stick. He's 50/50 with LFC fans, i personally like him. If he can just find some consistency he'd be great for us. He looked great against Stoke but whenever we don't play well he seems to be the scapegoat. You say Allen can't handle himself against the 6 foot + players but against City on a couple of occasions he's dominated Yaya, Fernandinho, Fernando, which ever of them where playing.

Allen has been good in every game he's started this season… Yeah Stoke was his best game, but this season, I don't think he's been below a 7/10 when he's started a game… Go back and watch the matches he's played this season. Have we all forgotten how good he was against Southampton?

Stick with him and see if he can continue improving under Klopp as he seems to be more consistent under the new manager and last game he gave an absolutely brilliant Pirlo-esque performance. If he can't then we still have him as a useful squad player (better than Milner imo).

Mignolet, Lovren, Skrtel, Lallana, Allen and so far Benteke are NOT players to get us near the top….you can say squad players but those squad players cost us 90million quid. Joe Allen is a Jack Russell Terrier, leave the boy alone, it's not his fault if half of the team are crap or he's benched and doesn't get played, he is Welsh and that makes him play with passion, give him a chance and stick!
Liverpool need to step up a level or two to be able to compete with the best and thus Allen is not the answer as he is not step up in quality.
