England fans are going to much into this RB dilemma when imho you should be focusing on the other side of the field.
If you are going to win this, then the only way is by unlocking the full potential of Harry Kane, build the team around Kane.

TAA is probably the best passer and crosser in the world atm with KDB.
Trent's defensive 'weakness' is a myth, true analytical Liverpool fans that watch him every game will know.
He's not a 'beast' defender but he isn't that bad either. It's tactical.
You have to factor in that Klopp plays a very high line, probably higher than any other team.
TAA is also given freedom to attack which is why he often leaves gaps behind.
Trent at RB as his age has been to : 2 UCL Finals, finished the league at 97 points, winning the league again with almost record points again.
One of those seasons, Liverpool kept cleansheets for long periods of the season, and in one season Liverpool went almost unbeaten.
This season Liverpool lost VVD, Gomez, Matip and Fabinho (played midfield for most parts of the first half of the season). It is very much a dimino effect.
You could see his performances getting better when Klopp put natural CBs (Rhys and Philips with Fabinho in midfield).
Henderson is crucial for TAA's role. Hendo allows him to push forward and cover with Gomez/Matip also covering that right side of the defense, fast, good ball carriers.
He is the best shot England has at giving service to Kane.
He will do fine if Henderson or Rice covers his gap when flanking.
R. James is covered by Azpi, Trippier plays in a very defensive team. Actually both are very "defend first team'' unlike Liverpool which is a very attacking and pressing from front team.
If England are to win this, Trent-Henderson has to play.
My guess is by bringing 4 RBs, Southgate is probably going to play 3 CBs with, Walker/R.James as RCB and TAA as RWB.
Trent get in any team in the world
A year ago on form he was the best of the 4. Today he is bottom on form.
People are forgetting how many times liverpool had to change up cbs, they at least had 20 different cb combinations in the prem. Thats obviously going to cause his form to drop, ironically his form improved when a cb combination played more then 3 games together.

So Southgate drops a player out of form. If he doesn't he gets blamed for blind loyalty. Then he gets blamed for the clickbait spinners making up stories about him being left out, because he dropped him before. And then he gets criticised for reassuring Trent that he's not lying to his face when he said he was in his plans, but if he doesn't I'm sure he'd be blamed for leaving him in limbo. What is the man supposed to do? It's always been the case that people will just make things up and claim sources, but now every two-bit fool on the internet can do it, and the supposedly professional media out there then pick it up and claim them as sources – and then when they all land with egg on their face, because there was no story in the first place, they somehow blame Southgate for the fallout. The whole thing is a farce.
TAA will be England's downfall. Any half-decent team will just overload his side and bang in goals, TAA has absolutely shocking defensive ability, the guy holds the number 1, 2 and 3 spot for possession lost most times; he does that against a good team and we're fucked. I hope Gareth doesn't play him much, at last at RB.

Good to have TAA in the squad, but personally I wouldn’t start him.
The title is very misleading. That is not what he said.
This hasnt been the best season for Trent. Let’s not forget what he’s done in the last few years though. Trent has been a monster at right back. Taking away his double figure assists he’s got great defensive stats as well. With the Liverpool centre backs being injured and lacking pace with the replacements Trent has had to sit back more and hasn’t had the freedom to get forward. There’s some great competition in the England squad for right backs but Trent is still the best of them if not on the world.
I think TAA has suffered from not having a permanent centre back pairing next to him at Liverpool, but hes recovered well from a bad game at Real Madrid and seems to be back in form at right time.
Mediocre player mediocre manager mediocre football…that’s Southgate he is a perfect fit for England
