  1. I cant wait to be at the first game at OT after those parasites have sold. As you would say Ste pants off but not just in the Stretford End.😂

  2. Lucky Utd isn’t buying Utd otherwise we’d start with £2 billion drag it out for months then pay £12billion when we could of just paid £5 billion

  3. I’d like Qatar Steve because the money they have can immediately make us challenge in Europe and for the League. Also no more debt and they can invest in stadium and training ground straight away

  4. Has to be Qatar for me. The wiping out the debt is a big thing, but also if we don't get them, somebody else will. Not quite sure that would be in our best interest

  5. Your idea of Old Trafford and Carrington 'just' needing a lick of paint is small minded and not what a big club, such as Manchester United expire to be or should be looking to do. We deserve the best. Why accept anything less?

  6. If the glazers were to stay with new investors I think there would be set objectives. All I'm saying is no one can stop ETH from turning this team into what we once were, fact is Manchester United has a history with bad owners, we still won though🤷‍♂

  7. Why do people keep saying it's green washing? You can't buy a football club to green wash your business, especially not one as big as United. They fly all over the place, fans fly in from all over the world to watch them.

Green washing is when a polluting company highight their minimal sustainable policies while hiding their polluting plans. Shell advertising their renewable technology while also lobbying to drill for oil in the arctic.

Sports washing is investing in sport to improve your PR by associating your brand with a sports team or competition.

Buying United is sports washing for both Ineos & Qatar.

  8. The way i see it sadly is,every big club over the next decade are going to get huge investments from all avenues.
Id go qatar, simply coz it sounds debt free and we need huge investment all over the club. Qatar provides this.

  9. Difficult to choose, Sir Jim probably only has 10 years before he would have to sell again, which could be good or bad depending on who would buy us. Qatar would be difficult to shift if things don't work out, but no debt and real investment into infrastructure in and around old trafford would lean me toward the Qatar bid.

  10. With the Qatari bid it’s debt free and with SJR is more debt and with the Qataris we will have more funds available without any debt being added

  11. Shiekh Jassim is a United fan by heart,we all know when you have the money & love something,Money doesn’t matter!

  12. I've thought about this a fair bit, and for me, as much as i dislike the idea of sportswashing and state-ownership, i think Qatar is the best option we have – from reports i've read they're determined to buy the club and might be willing to pay a bit more than they planned to, plus they'll wipe out the debt and if the debt goes we immediately have much more muscle in the transfer market even without the Qatar "owners" (if that happens) having to put anything into that themselves, which means even more funding for the club, stadium, training facilities and so on.
My main concern with whoever the new owners are is that we keep hold of ETH – ideally i'd like him to stay just as long as Sir Alex did and win just as many things! 😉

  13. Why would the glazers get a loan of money that they have to spend on the club! They have never spent money on the club so they will not do that now

  14. Stephen, Great video and I haven't really answer this question who would I prefer. I put a lot of thought into it still waiting to hear bids. Oh by the way Los Angeles Red Army stand up. I don't like the word debt, Sir Jim I want to to cheer for it for the whole romantic part of it, but he used the word debt, but he said he would acquire the debt. I don't like that, what happens if something happens with his company, because Sir Jim doesn't have a lot of liquid capital when it comes to owning a team. He's being backed by a company and believe it or not the company he runs is more likely to hit financial hard times then Sheikh Jassim.. I just don't like that it's still debt. Sheikh Jassim, is the dream.. it's everything the club deserves, they will build a community or fund one. There will long lasting generations to enjoy financial support..last point ,I didn't hear too much long-lasting uproar to the world Cup in Qatar, I think everybody got over it quick. And that's what today's society is, I understand what you're saying in many ways I back you on state ownership, not a fan. But that shall pass too, trust.. Great video

  15. How much did you get paid for going to qatar WC? Now your favorite choice? Why not a russian/ north korean owner? No class.

  16. I want Qatar, from a club perspective they're going to make it debt free and has made it clear that they are going to look to renew the club from the perspective that they'll invest in a new stadium (or refresh of OT), a new training ground while looking to invest in the women's game too. I may have misread but they want to renew the area around Old Trafford too to modernise it. Jim simply saying he 'wants to win trophies' is empty when he's going to load up even more debt on the club. The Qatari's are genuinely looking at the entire club as a whole to take as into the future. To address the 'best in class' personnel, I will trust the Qataris over Jim and his mates from the INEOS sports group too. They have failed spectactuarly at Nice. Instead of best in class football, they've got the former head of cycling running the football operations. Make it make sense with Jim Ratcliffe?

  17. Shiekh Jassim all day, every day of the week! Unless another major player comes along like Apple or Elon, then there'll actually be a discussion to be had

  18. The best part of the Qatari bid is that the club would be debt free and the stadium and training ground would dramatically get upgraded…… If after that's done there's still unsure vibes of sportswashing then atleaast the club by that point will be potentially worth so much more … But who would actually be a "good" owner ? Maybe the fan owned situation may happen at that point if the Qatari owner is pushed out in future

  19. Whoever buys the club, it will be an investment to the buyer they will have no emotional attachment. What is spent and what is invested they all will want a return from that. You do not equire that amount of wealth from being emotionally attached to things.

  20. At this moment in time, you can't be sure what any of these new owners will guarantee. But Qatari Man UTD will be debts free and I feel we being debt free will guarantee we do good business and invest in the team more…so definitely we will be winning titles with Erik Ten Hag at the helm…so yh I'm for 🇶🇦Qatar all day…#GGMU

  21. It's interesting how people view sportwashing from the UK and the United States. Like we have any room to point fingers at other countries for how they do business.

  22. Jassim does not have that much personal wealth.

He is a chairman of a state bank with a chairman's salary. His dad is wealthy to the tune of 1.2bn but that's not enough and he has 15 kids to divide that between. This is absolutely a bid from the Qatari state and I'm baffled why journalists pretend to not know this very obvious fact. It's almost like they've been paid off.
