Sucks that the internal routing is crap. Noisy bikes are the worst. I had a bunch of noise on my rocky mountain instinct from the flip chips. Luckily I was able to swap the BC edition link on it and get that stupid ride 9 out of there.
Nice video! One trick for that cable rattle is dropping the fork and sliding a pool noodle down there, works a treat. I prefer mineral oil on push bikes but will definitely try find some reviews on those brakes. Cheers
Nice call on the 50mm stem. Another thing that can help washouts and understeer (and I'm not trying to be a salesperson) is carbon rims. The rims on my firebird were soft alum, weren't built well and would flex. And for frame rattle jagwire makes a foam insulation which you can slide over the hoses and down the frame.
Great review. How tall are you? I'm 5'10" (178cm) and bought a medium and also had to extend the stem to a 50. Made a world of difference. I tried a 175 fox transfer post but couldn't get it low enough. Curious how your one up 180 post fits
So buy a Yeti? Seems like lots to sort out and surprised your such a fan… that saddle position is so you can keep the front wheel on the ground when climbing?

Try putting some chain lube on your edc tool's gasket. Will make removal much easier

crap, too bad I ordered L and have only 5'11 .. I compared the geometry with my other bikes.

Top Tube with the only difference +3,4 cm which I may try to compensate after testing the bike once its arrived with 15mm stem P-DENT CARBON BAR AND STEM SET 15MM.
If Iam not happy with L I have to change the bike ;(

Does the firebird have bottle mounts on the underside of the down tube?
