  1. josh sargent has had a good season, i think him having similar stats to dike at a higher level has to let him be the starter. dike has been incredible don't get me wrong but this is sargent's spot to lose.

  2. Hoppe not mentioned? The fanboys are gonna be out, if he didn't score his hattrick people wouldn't be talking about him, he was barely even scoring for Schalke II. If you're a striker and not scoring you shouldn't be called up especially if you're not established in the national team.

  3. Dike's pro debut was 9 months ago in MLS is back, watch his first sub appearance for Orlando and watch him now, it's night and day.

  4. Dike doesn't start for a top half prem team outside of maybe West Ham (who are way too high than they should be), he doesn't even start for Palace or Wolves or Villa. So it's a low prem team but they need to be competitive (so probably not a promoted Barnsley).

  5. Barnsley are enjoying a freak one off season, as harsh as it might be to say, that club will be back scrapping for survival before you know it, he's got great potential for sure but to say he's ready to be the national teams main man when he's not under any kind pressure is way too ambitious, if he gets a shot with a mid to lower premier league side and continues to show this form then he might be ready for that kind of pressure, throw him in the deep end too early and he might simply disappear.

  6. If you are talking about what John Herdman would do for a best 11 WCQ, given that he had Laryea starting for Canada in WCQ with Johnston as the back-up and Brault-Guillard with the Olympic team, I think it's unlikely that Brault-Guillard starts over Laryea in a WCQ match.

  7. STOP CHOOSING MLS PLAYERS FOR YOUR USMNT STARTING ROSTER!!!!! Jozy Altidore and Zardes? What? With all the options we have playing at better clubs in much better leagues? It's ok to like and support MLS without being naive about the quality gap between our league and European leagues. But I get that this is an MLS podcast, so…..to be expected, I guess

  8. Gotta go with Charlie on this one. Going to a team that's on its heels and defending all game long is a bad move for any American attacker. We've seen Jozy at Hull City and Sunderland, and we're seeing Sargent at Bremen. Dike will be better off at the top of the Eredivisie than the bottom of the Premier League.

  9. Put down the crack pipe and slowly back away… Josh Sargent is leaps and bounds better than Dike right now. Sargent had a great season in a way better league on a team that cannot get him the ball or support him to be able to score goals or assists. Not to mention Josh is way more technical in his game. Sorry guys it's not even close right now.

  10. W in German in pronounced V in English…like Arsne Wenger (Venger)…SO Werder Bemen is best sait 'Verder' Bremen…It's easy. Hit me up if you need help with Leipzig!

  11. Are we really still talking Altidore? I truly appreciate his contributions but as with every player- comes a time to move on. There's been nothing but decline w/ energy, motivation, physically and level of play for 5 years running. Barring a huge leap in all aspects, and a huge stall in development with the 5-6 players ahead of him- he should not be in the discussion.

  12. I have listened to TSS for years. First time seeing Taylor. That was cool. Great content. I just subscribed.

  13. What a pleasant surprise, to hear you guys talk about the 🇨🇦MNT in depth. We have an exciting team indeed. Keep up the good work

  14. Barnsley have already agreed a fee for Dike which the CEO (also an American) has said is affordable – of course, it probably depends on Barnsley being promoted because agreeing the fee is one thing, the contract is another – it's that which would be the sticking point for Barnsley if they aren't promoted.
