  1. This England team is better than svens team and more importantly the other teams around aren't as good as they were then. That's why there was an expectancy with this euros rather than hope

  2. I agree pretty much with Rob. English football fans are very often lemmings for the media to use for their own agenda. They are also often too vicious and demanding. We played crap football, but we won our group and got to a final. And all we kept hearing was England are crap,Southgate is crap. When frankly, we did rather well.

  3. Yes you english people seem to think that a manager is the only thing that influences a team's performance. Instead of holding any of the players accountable , you pile all the blame on one man and his "tactics". Also , somehow every English football fan is a managerial expert when it comes to England and the way they should play, even though they do not even have a second of managerial experience.

You boo your own manager and then you expect to win the competition. It's so blatantly obvious that the problem lies more in the media and the fanbase than any individual in the team. I hope you enjoy another 55 years of failure! Keep on making your players and coaches lives miserable and see where that gets you…

  4. He criticises the media for daring to criticise Southgate and England. He calls out Lineker and Shearer for things they didn’t actually say, then he calls Southgate a hindrance to England. This is what journalism has come to.

  5. Southgate has been the single best manager we have had since the turn of the millennium… he’s got us to the quarters in the World Cup, last done in 2006. And he’s got us second in the Euros, which is the furthest we have gotten since 1968!!! And people still booing. We legitimately have the worst, most toxic fans in the world, 1000%.

  6. The entirety of the video was hard to listen to, but when "England DNA" was uttered, it was the nail in the coffin.
England have no DNA, that's always been the issue. When you think of DNA and philosophy you look to Spain, Germany, Italy, Brazil. England and DNA couldn't be further apart

  7. Tuesday was a landmark day in England. Gareth Southgate resigned as manager and Royal Mail was sold to a Czechoslavakian billionaire.

  8. Given the fortunate way England have fared in the draw of recent tournaments, I just don't see how Southgates reign can be classed as successful. It was glaringly obvious that players in form should have been starting games, not players with reputations. Being a Scot, l couldn't have chosen a better manager for England. I doubt history will judge him as kindly as some punters have..

  9. Really dont get this narrative that he was a success. 8 years Won nothing.. England managers were never given that long or they may have matched his record…You cannot compare apples to oranges.

  10. Southgate’s nepotism didn’t help, why take young talented players and never use them, as for Harry Kane, it was like England played with ten men he was so bad , but Southgate always started him.

  11. GarethSouth Gate was not. Good manager no attacking flare but nice Guy but Kane and one ortoo not giving 100% best thing he did was bringing on Ollie Watkins and Cole Palamer should change team earlier then he did that was reason CHANGEs not many good ones

  12. Southgate tactics were negative, boring, and predictable. We were very lucky to get this far.
He was a lefty wokey brown noser to the lefty wokey F.A. He was certainly their type.
Personally, I’m glad he has gone. An overpaid coach with limited abilities.

  13. The ‘England DNA’ is just bullsh@t. What on earth does that mean. He simply was not savvy enough to be a good manager. Criticism was just and was not personal at all. He was given the easiest job in football given the players coming through on enormous wages. He’ll get another job but I don’t have any sympathy. Count your blessings and get in the real world.
