      Y'all are killing me with this "earn it". Pick and choose who it applies to and who it doesn't is super arbitrary. And skipping over guys like Mark MacKenzie and James Sands who are 100% earning with consistent performances for their respective 1st teams.

      I think Aaron Johannson should have been mentioned in the striker conversation. Berhalter should be willing to look past his narrow lense.

      Goss! Donovan as the greatest player? BS. He's not even the greatest field player. Dempsey is that and I put McBride above the little guy who ran back to the US with his tail between his legs to be a big fish in a small pond.

      the way you talked about jozy was as if he was Alan shearer or Romario, jozy is the one of the worst strikers I've seen live, if that is your standard I can only imagine the quality of zardes and sergeant. about Morris, almiron is getting found out towards the end of last season and this season rots in the bench, Morris isnt better than almiron, so unless you're talking bate borisovs, cfr Cluj, and Barnsley I'm not sure which Europe are you talking about.

      Couple thoughts

      1. Altidore is not the best striker in the pool and hasn't been for a while. Inconsistent. Injury-prone. Weak attitude when the going gets tough. Terrible work-rate off the ball. Doesn't even produce jaw-breaking numbers in MLS.

      2. Morris is not a special player and his technical skills are overrated from what I seen. His pass completion rate is quite average in MLS and he also has terrible work-rate off the ball. As soon as Weah or De La Fuente get playing time and a few goals and assists, it's a no brainer from me that they start on the RW. Those two are light years ahead of Morris in terms of technical skills, dribbling, passing, vision and it's not dumb luck that Weah came from PSG's academy or Konrad currently in Barcelona's senior team so far. Alternatively you can push Dest to RW and play Cannon or Yedlin at RB to compensate for Morris lack of creativity. We need to move past players like Morris because Morris is invisible in the build up play which means we play like a 10 man team off the ball and that's not acceptable anymore.

      3. Reyna is the starting 10, no questions asked. That's his role at Dortmund and he plays like the American De Bruyne. Green is a suitable bench option since he's playing in a league slightly better than MLS or until Mendez and Ledezma secure playing time with Ajax and PSV. Aaronson will have to improve rapidly at Salzburg so for now, he's relegated to the u23s.

      4. Don't sleep on Sargent. He had an assist in Werder Bremen's last game and almost had a goal and showed how dangerous he was. Kohfeldt played him out of position for only one game and then later said he won't do it again.

      Im sorry but Charlie is 100% right and if you dont agree you're playing yourself. If you think MLS can push you to what Europe can push you to, then you're the reason the USMNT will never be a top soccer nation.
