Bringing in Sturridge is among some of the ways we're identifying what we need, and building for the future. we could have grabbed some old guys to fill in, but instead the youngsters (some which haven't played in the first team) are looking really promising. To me, it feels like there's a project happening.
And the fluency is getting better. Last weeks game (maybe the week before), the team was starting to push the 1 touch passing. Saurez, gerrard and stirling have really shone in that area, but it's more important to have the entire team playing that style and it doesn't happen overnight. Rogers said it wouldn't and I don't think anyone can blame him for our forwards missing goal after goal. But, Boroni should get the sack lol
And maybe thats the promblem altogether we'd always push for Europa and CL, when if we are actually playing less football for a couple seasons wit ha regular, stable, routine fixture, we can grow as a team better and not need to keep grabbing older guys like adams (not that he was that bad or anything but just as an example). the only progress that has been made is that tippy tappy football is played. as far as progression – it is not much better:
Transfers: just as bad as before, borini, allen, assaidi, sahin (played in the wrong position)
league position: well chances are we will not even qualify for europe
football style: looks good but does it really play well? we do not have many good results to prove otherwise.
maybe in 2 years we will see if the best players such as suarez have not already left.
Transfers – Sturridge? Coutinho? Allen has had some good games, he'll get better, Borini has been unlucky with injuries.
League position – We've deserved to win 90 percent of the games we've played this season, the wins will come with time, BR's first season, remember?
Football style – Same as above. Besides we're whooping the mid table teams bar 2-3 games, something which we didn't do last season.
