Nowadays there's no time to develop players… managers are fired at a quicker rate…they are under pressure to deliver… with this modern football competing with the likes of Pep or modern football in general you are just not afforded patients or even time.
This is actually the reason sir Alex is better than pep no matter what anyone says, youth development at scale and over 2 decades is insane

Pep completely changed and developed: Walker, Sterling, de bruyne, foden, grealish, Rodri, busquets, kimmich, Bernardo silva, sane, stones, alba, pique, boateng, thiago. The list goes on forever, I personally have never seen any cosch develop his players better than pep, yes even fergi, and anyone who pretends fergi didn’t have all the funds available to him compared to his competition at the time are just being absolutely disingenuous

i think currently the closest managers that are doing this, developing young talents, is Xavi and maybe dezerbi.
I will say though Xavi doesn't give as much time to younger players but Barca isn't in a comfortable state to let a lot of young players get more game time since our first team is still developing but Barca has always been about la masia and we deliver.
