  1. Not a man alive will agree that’s offside. For the length it took it ruins the game. Denies a perfectly good goal. Don’t tell me he obstructs the keepers view because he nearly gets it.

    Ruining the game.

    From an open age referee

  2. What a load of codswallop. No way is offside impending play. Keeper had plenty of time to see ball.
Both refs in booth should shut up as they are talking over each other. Just keep it simple. You over complicate it.

  3. I've taken my fair share of nasty, potentially bone breacking tackles because of some psychopath who takes the opportunity to hack away at you under the guise of a close tackle. Pepe style.
Studs first, stretched out leg. That was 100% meant to seriously injure the other player, and I'm glad VAR lets referees review and punish that right on the pitch.

  4. They got it wrong here. Romero got the ball first and the knock on Fernandez was a follow-through. They could've left the goal as Caicedo's or gave the penalty with a yellow card

  5. What it should have been:
    1) penalty, yellow card (definitely not a red card offense)
    2) would have been offsides if the foul never occurred
    3) yellow card to Sterling for simulation

  6. Thats not offside. Not surprised though cuz its Chelsea. Officials do everything to ruin their games. At other clubs, this goal gets given

  7. I did not realize that the digital lines we see on the screen for offside decisions are placed by hand by the VAR staff. That gives me MUCH less confidence in them.

  8. You always choose what's better to be exposed. I would love everything to be posted btwn as you did for this organized one because the terrible decisions you make are many

  9. That's would be 100% more calm situations, and more understanding between fans and refs, if while the match some VAR situations happens, on Live TV streaming they could switch 'ON' their voices for time(only at VAR situations) so we can clearly understand what situation is about 👍🏼

  10. In the old era,Jackson would not be offside. The defender was moving back while Jackson was facing Caicedo.

Yes Jackson open his feet which may have intefered the play, however what would be the different if a player move his head to not block the shot?

So moving your legs mean you are intefering the play, but i won't 100% agree that jackson was offside as he seem level with the defender. He doesn't know where the defender was.

Why is there no cards for Sterling for simulation? Yes Romero was a definite red but i had seen challenge above knee not getting a red.

  11. They still messed up lining up jacksons back. The line was not even in contact with his shirt 😂. At least the final decieion managed to be correct.

  12. The transparency is appreciated and now we know the thinking that goes into the process. Personally, I dont think it should have been a red card because the speed of thinking and decision-making of the player and his intent is not to hurt opponient, but it is unfortunate… but at least i know now how the refs decision making work and how they draw lines… not convince on the drawing of lines because of the potential of paralax error plus there did not appear to be use of the technology of the ball sensor…

  13. Complete BS, idiots who haven't got a clue about real football are ruining the game. No way is that even a foul let alone a red card or a penalty.

  14. All fans want is for these sorts of incidents to be consistently officiated , and not seen as to who is involved or the event overall like a final or between two rivals. I agree that they got it correct it’s just that it hasn’t been consistent enough.
