Fully agree. An Arsenal fan here, but what Suarez did in 2013/14 minght be the only individual season I can put on the same level as Henry 2002/03, or even above it.

Special every game. His stats, which were crazy, say nothing. He was a 10, a 9, a winger, everything. He literally was making everything in the Liverpool attack, creating actions, dropping deep, to the wing. Dribbling, little actions with Sturridge, Coutinho etc. Making goals, for himself, others. Insane work rate, energy every game. Played like possessed that season.
Then, he transforemed into a completely different player the next season at Barca. Had that ban, got back visibly bigger, heavier. Lost quite a bit of pace, work rate… But he transformed into an absolutely sublime 9. Not just his magical goals, his hold up play, the way he linked up with Messi, Neymar, Iniesta… His awareness, vision, touch… Became a different player, but magical again.
The best 9/striker in football after fat Ronaldo, withouth doubt for me. Was unfortunate to play in the Ronaldo/Messi era, othewise he would have a couple of Ballon d'Ors. Could have really challenged them for a few seasons, especially if he didn't get that ban in 2014. What he showed for Liverpool in the league alone that year, was better than Ronaldo and Messi were doing at the time.

Neymar was better than Suarez. Neymar was a complete game changer. He could truly carry an attack. His through balls, crosses, finishing and vision were on point and the only thing Suarez has on Neymar is shooting cos he’s a striker and Suarez is obviously better at heading. I think Suarez was an absolute beast but Neymar was the best after Ronaldo and Messi.
There were so many times where Neymar would take in as many players at once as Messi would except Neymar used difficult skills to get past them and the defenders weren’t just sent the wrong way, they had their ankles broken.
Suarez in that last season was better than any player who has ever played in the Premier League. But to see people saying that he doesn’t get his flowers makes me think they weren’t watching the games then, everyone in 2014 knew they were watching something immense.
Suarez that season was the closest thing to R9 I have ever seen. He had Everything. Shots from any position, can dribble whole team by himself. Can give a pass on 30 yards. Freekicks you name it. And the fact that he broke record atm without playing first 7 games and not taking any penalties
