Wrong, if he telegraphs all his moves then he wouldnt of never caught Chuck. Rampage j stand-up improved since he got into the ufc, ending most fights by knock-out, but Rashads speed and footwork have dramatically increased between fights. Not saying his stand-up is the best, but out of pure skill between both wrestling oriented fighters, rashad has very good intelligent stand-up.

I don't think you're giving him the respect he deserves. If you look at his highlight reels, he's got quite a few stunning knockouts. They can't all be by accident.
i am gonna compare him to gsp, wrestler base, then got good hands swiped a couple ppl with hands, then got knocked out, then come back 3 times a strong with dominating wrestling, and octagon control, i think were gonna see a light heavy alves vs gsp
1 dimensional? Look at all his KO's in the ufc, all from different angles and different combinations. So how is that 1 dimensional? Rampage KO's so far in the ufc have came from counter hooks. Another thing stop watching the chuck liddell fight wit'em over and over, cus thats prolly where ur getting ur lack of info.
They need to change Rashad's nickname from Sugar to Split Decision. Beating Chuck was impressive because of the strategy, but Rampage did it better, and twice.
Here's my question: How is knocking out Sean Salmon impressive? He caught a nobody with the only headkick he's ever thrown. Whoopie do. The minute he fought a top five fighter, he got wrecked.
That said, I can understand why the odds tip in his favor against Silva. He's better known, and being a wrestler helps.
To clarify before one of Rashad's twelve fans jumps down my throat, does anyone consider Chuck or Forrest to be top five anymore? I like Forrest, but he's by no means that great. Fun to watch? Hell yeah.
I think he's falling into the same issue as King Mo is. He's trying to be Rampage way too hard. That's why people boo him. We've already got a Rampage, and he's more than enough.
Because of this, before Rampage retires, he'll probably beat the brakes off Mo too.

I think Rashads speed is unparralled in 205 and thats his advantage, he's also really strong for his size and a great wrestler that he doesn't show often.
No, I don't give Griffin a lot of credit for beating an injured Shogun. A healthy Shogun would maul him.
Also, I'm not comparing Rashad's style to Rampage's. I'm comparing the role he's trying to play. They're both boxer/wrestlers, but the difference is that Rashad is a counter-puncher, but he's more known for being boring. Just my view.
Chuck is not even top 10 anymore. He had his time in MMA just like Matt Hughes. They were both great champions but these young guys are just too much for them.
Forrest on the other hand is still a good LHW. I would like to see him refine his game some more and maybe get another shot at the title.
