Hopefully the guys play with freedom and use their head. Soccer is about knowing what the team needs at each interval of time, maybe the team needs a penalty to create a set piece to get the offense going, understanding when to take a penalty to keep the opponent from going on the break. So I think the most important aspect for this team is knowing the situational aspect and hopefully we don't put our self in a must win situation early on.

I’ll admit I can be a euro snob when it comes to the team and the mls guys might not be the “best” players on the squad but seem like the “right” ones that Poch wants as part of the team concept. They help bring that tenacity, scrappiness, grittiness we need and that exemplifies the best of our team historically. They are willing to put their bodies on the line and fight for the crest. We need that mentality to go as far as we can this summer.
