Just a few side notes for Stephan A. Lions every year worst run game & at bottom of league in offensive line pass protection every year. Stafford was hurt his first two years in league. Was not really a full season until 2011 so that means 3 playoffs in 5 years. In 2014 refs screwed Lions from playoff win vs Dallas at Dallas. Not just on 1 play but several plays. Lions would have made playoffs another time but screwed Lions again with Golden Tate TD called back & ran 10 seconds off clock & another year phantom facemask call when no time left against the Packers to give Rodgers another play then on that hail mary TD they totally did not call two of the lions DT getting held & basically tackled. I have a theory that Goodell has stock in GM & hates fords.

Stafford plays on a team that only throws the ball! They draft offensive linemen who only pass block there for no running game! Of course his yards are high when you throw that many times but he comes up short in the playoffs! That money needs to be put elsewhere!
1 yr later & Stafford is the 4th highest paid QB in the League. Jimmy Garoppolo is getting paid higher then Stafford & what has he done in the NFL? He threw 7 td's last year with 5 int's. Why should Stafford get the excuses that Stephen A never gave to Jay Cutler. Because he has a more likeable personality and actually cares what people think about him unlike Jay Cutler who does not care what the fuck anyone especially slanderers like Stephen A Smith think about him? Jay Cutler and Matt Stafford, similar good talent, similar results, about equal arm strength, Stafford less slightly less turnover prone and a bit more prolific, Cutler the more athletic of the two… Stafford the slightly better player.. But both with little playoff success…
Personally speaking, I won't go after Stafford in the same way I didn't go after Cutler and not veer from criticism into slander as has been the case of many commentators, especially with Stephen A with regards to Cutler… But if Stafford doesn't win this season or the next few seasons, he will be criticized harshly. Jay Cutler being in the league and the NFC North sheltered Stafford from the fierce scrutiny and criticism that Cutler received, but now he cannot hide from it anymore…
I look at it this way, if you can score in the 4th quarter, you should be able to score in any quarter. Being clutch to me means nothing but you didn't get it done in the first 3 quarters.
I see Stafford play every week during the NFL season . Does he have bad games sure who doesn't ? How many comeback victories does this guy have ? I venture to say more than the quarterback of your team unless your QB s name is Brady or Rogers. You put Stafford on the Steelers or any other NFL team that knows how to build and evaluate talent and draft accordingly, he'll get you to a Superbowl. He has easily the strongest arm in the league and he can make any throw that the coach draws up. The only other guy I've seen with a stronger arm was John Elway With the exception of 10 or so teams. The rest of the league would love to have him as their starting quarterback. And I guarantee you if he had become available on the open market Stephen A Smith really be pissing his pants because Stafford probably would have made double in a bidding war.

Stafford made a mistake …to greedy…wished he wanted to win more…sucks even more cuz I absolutely love him as our QB but I doubt we're gonna go very far at all with him as our QB…but man I'd at least like to make the playoffs every year

I agree with Stephen A. Smith in this one. Don't get me wrong, Stafford is a great qb, but never won a playoff game. We used to say we didn't have the weapons or running game, but honestly WE DO. One thing I say is that our defensive is not all too good and bad at tackling. Put Stafford with the right staffs and team I guarantee he will win a Superbowl. I believe he needs coaching to become a better qb. One more thing is that we always run away from plays that works. That's why we always end up losing. SOL…
