Was there!! Crazy ending to the game. Everyone was standing for the last 10 min, you could feel the goals were coming.
I do enjoy watching Vancouver play (mainly because I miss our guy Thomas Mueller ) but I have to admit that I am getting a bit tired with the commentary.
Everything seems to be "unworldly" or "beyond imagination" or "worldclass". Is this the show element of North American Sports Broadcasting without which no spectator can get excited about sports? Or is Soccer still too new for an adequate appraisal of what is happening on the pitch?
Many of the "exceptional touches" that seem to freak out the commentators you will witness in Amateur clubs here in Europe. Nothing "outrageously special" but simply the normal tools of the trade.
Anyway, I just tune down the volume a bit and enjoy that Thomas is happy in his new home.

On the Whitecaps first goal, the Timbers goalie is completely out of his head. When Campos meets the ball…the goalie is 30 yards off his line. That's utterly ridiculous. Doesn't matter if your full backs are playing high to put the pressure on. He was rendered useless on this play.
