Going to all depend on the D- line
The Steelers defense is usually one of the most dominant in the NFL! Their secondary should have a solid season this year!
I like the Witherspoon resigning. I like the Wallace signing. I like the Kayzee signing. Now Sutton can go back to the slot. I like all of the options at Safety now too. Norwood gives you another FS/SCB option. Could see a lot of 3 S & 3 CB packages when in dime. Guys like Layne, Maulett and Pierre are gonna have a hard time making the roster this year. No Hayden level corner, however I think Wallace and Witherspoon are almost at that level. I'm excited. The D line and LB's SHOULD be better than last year, that SHOULD create opportunities for turnovers for the secondary. The question is… will the D cash in on those opportunities? I think they will.
I really like this secondary I feel like it's a pretty underrated group Witherspoon played at a probowl level once a got acclimated to the defense the second half of the season and had 3 ints and 9 pass deflections in a 6 game stretch it'll be interesting to see what he can do in a full season, Levi Wallace is a really good CB2 he has some really good next gen stats and was very solid for Buffalo, Cam Sutton is a very smart player who is really good In the slot, Edmunds is solid and has improved every year he gets way to much hate, Minkah is phenomenal and is one of the best safeties in the league, and Kazee and Karl Joseph are really good depth guys at saftey who could possibly even be starters on some teams
I'd feel more confident in the cornerbacks if Witherspoon would suddenly learn how to tackle. He's not bad in coverage but shies away from contact. Sutton is sorta the opposite. Imo
Wow! Mr. No participation trophies slept in meetings lol. Hypocritical
Say what you want about Chad Henne. But Cleveland got screwed with a bad call that cost them a touchdown in that game.
