Reggie Cannon in a US shirt has never done a positive thing. Against the Swiss, he twisted and turned and ducked a shot that ricocheted into the net. If you play at this level and can't STAND up facing a shot ten yards from you … then you need to step aside on your own. If Berhalter picks him again, he should be fired.

I’m concerned that Sargent is still our starting striker. He’s downright average. He showed nothing in the Swiss game and even failed to open space by dragging Centerbacks around with him. He’s not a goal scorer. What value does he bring? His vision and passing? Is he a false 9? A n attacking mid? No, he’s a striker. And he can’t score goals.

Miami didn't deserve a team. Sacramento was ready and has been f'd over so many times by the MLS that their primary funder finally gave up. In the meantime, a bunch of rubes headed by a famous face got an expansion because Miami is supposedly special. They're incompetent, greedy, and fools.
The MLS has messed up both cities by this.

1. Gass had a really good podcast. He is right about the doom and gloom'ers on the match against the Swiss. The US could have hung 3 on them easily. It wasn't a beating even though they clearly faded.
2. I would like to know where the figure for Miami's allocation money fine came from. Is that how much they misreported on the player salaries? It's basically a two year sentence of not being able to make the playoffs. That is a huge fine that hurts the league but they had to do it. It is going to make Miami have that losing stench early in their teams history which will affect their trajectory. Miami isn't starved for entertainment options so they will have a huge uphill battle. If I was Messi- who is rumored to be going to Miami in 2023- I would look elsewhere to retire. This is going to be in the early stages of a rebuild and he isn't going to win trophies there.
3. Altidore is done. He is washed up at 31, which is too young. He isn't going to find a second wind in Mexico or anything. He isn't hungry anymore and he can't stay healthy.
4. That certain LAG/LAFC fan in the mailbag is infamous on r/MLS. That dude cracks me up. He is hardcore MLS but likes both LA teams *shrugs*.
When other teams make adjustments for the 2nd half, Berhlater does not. We saw it previously against Mexico and Tata Martino. That is a big concern for me.
