Losing to Germany wasn't the final straw, losing 5-1 to Austria a few days prior was. But I agree the timing wasn't ideal, they should've fired him when he couldn't qualify us to the most recent AFCON.
I told HH that, no matter the party in power, the Ayews have links to both, so they will persist in the team on the hangout. I have been proven right once again. Otto Addo said he won't send Dede Ayew to these friendlies. Once he failed, he was always going to pay for this defiance against the "Captain".

The guy should have been sacked two years ago. Better late than never. Better to sack him now than enter the World Cup knowing he’s going to be the coach. The FA in Ghana has known that the coach is a terrible coach for years but they stuck with him because they can manipulate him.

Its not a good decision. First off before my rant, a bit of correction. It was the 5-1 loss to Austria a few days ago that sealed Addo's fate. That being said, its a bad decision. Friendlies are used to assess players not necessarily win. Otto Addo was undefeated in WC qualifying. UNDEFEATED. Ghana nearly drew against Germany at home yesterday. And we had a massively depleted squad. This was unfair. That being said it could end up being an Emerse Fae situation. I disagree with your friend about the white coach thing. Back in 2021, Ghana brought back Milovan Rajevac who led us to the WC quarters in 2010, they were abysmal. Otto came in and they immediately improved. I'm not convinced. Also Ghana has friendlies against Mexico and Wales in May.
This wasn’t about loss to Germany, the coach wasn’t doing simple things. Bad timing for substitutions, playing players out of position. Being overly defensive with a squad that has a lot of youth and attacking potential.

Otto Addo is like Amorim. Complicates simple things. For instance in the game vs Germany, Jordan ayew was tired around 70 min and it was so clear and he wasn’t substituted. That means you are playing 10 v 11 in a setup you are already playing a defensive system.
HH you can’t say Panama aren’t there to make up the numbers but then act as if Ghana are in the same breath. Ghana should try to compete as well

Bad timing that's the only thing wrong about the sack. The solution is to get a really good coach to turn things around.
So you lose to Germany and sack your coach? Wtf. I understand Germany is probably at their very worst with this terrible coach. But even they are not the top favorite for the World Cup they are still amongst the favorites like every time they participate. It’s the second most successful football nation of all time. Why would you sack a coach after losing to them?

This is the thing, we don’t see ourselves the way you see us nor do we believe it! This ceiling you are talking about is your perception/expectation of Ghana, something no true Ghanaian believes! We are not expected to beat those 2 nations?? Says who?? Were we expected to beat Czech Republic in 06 WC when they were ranked number 2 in the world? Not only did we beat them by 2:0 it should have been 6:0, i was in the stadium in Cologne! Were we expected to reach the quarters in 2010 with only a Luis Suarez handball denying us a place in semis vs Holland whom I believe we would have beaten! This is the negative/inferiority complex mindset Otto had and was setting the team up for a resounding thrashing. Meanwhile WE ARE GHANA!!! A good coach will bring out the best in our players who are capable of competing with and beating any team in the world!!!! All we need is good organisation, confidence and playing on the front foot.. then let’s ball!!! best decision ever if the right appointment is made , white or black (don’t listen to Sheriff, the boys will respond to a good coach who knows what he’s doing irrespective of colour- these are professionals who’ve been exposed to some of the best coaches in the world)
