Riley McGree's injury is devastating. It's heartbreaking. There's no one who can replace his skillset. Also something to note, the fact that Borello wasn't amongst those who were sent home yet Robbo was.. surely Yengi makes it over Borello.
We’re cooked. He was the best player on the pitch before he got hurt in game against Hull. I don’t think we have a player with the same quality to replace him with.
Big loss for the squad. Terrible for McGree, he’s in his prime. Sad stuff.

Boro were 0-0 when Mcgree came off. He is also the highest paid Socceroo. Duke agreed an unsung hero but…. he recently did an interview and he mentioned how he was overwhelmed in every department to France and somewhat Tunisia & Japan. 4 years on he is less fit , so its all over .

I'm really questioning Popovic’s calls with these latest training camp cuts. Leaving out Alex Robertson and Daniel Bennie in particular is a massive blow to our technical depth—LIKE WTF! 😳
I get that he's wanting defensive discipline, but sacrificing that raw, creative youth generation right before the group stage feels like a massive step backwards to me!
Yet again Poppa is picking his favourites!
P.S. Eli Adams would be a good luxury player to have in Riley McGree's LW position now that he's out of the WC squad due to injury or bringing in Craig Goodwin due to his previous WC experience in this same position. I'm still absolutely baffled 😮 that Zac Sapsford after his amazing first season at Dundee United hasn't been called up into the training camp to either play at RW and/or act as a back up at Striker to Mo Toure and Tete Yengi.
