They sound like US dominated Germany for 90 minutes. I'd say Germany was in control for much of the game except for the last 20 minutes before halftime. They clearly didn't go all out and wanted to prevent injuries, and yet it was an easy win in the end. The only goal scored by US was a real screamer, you can't rely on lucky strikes like that all the time. If this is the best US has to offer, then nobody will be worried about them.
I like the idea of letting McKennie and Tillman interchange. Could be a way to take advantage of matchups, and also preserve endurance for both of them during certain periods of the game.
There goes Herc with his typical "know-it-all" approach talking about how he'd have pulled the starters at the half. Had Poch actually done so, he'd be suggesting the starters haven't had enough time playing together to really be ready.

The few other teams that sport rainbow colors occasionally just have shoelaces or armbands – things that are easy to opt out of. Represent the USA with red, white, and blue. Those are our country's unified colors.

It's crazy how Pulisic became the youngest USMNT captain and still doesn't get enough credit for how much he helped raise the profile of American soccer in Europe.
