In my opinion, Ernest is a better player than Fatawu. However, a player's performance is often influenced by the coach's tactical approach rather than individual quality alone.
From the Panama and Wales matches, we saw a clear pattern: the coach adopted a cautious, defensive approach in the first half before opening the game up in the second half. Because of that, whichever winger or attacker starts in the more defensive setup is likely to struggle and have less influence going forward.
Against Wales, Fatawu started and underperformed, but much of that can be attributed to the team's defensive approach, which limited his attacking strengths. Likewise, Ernest did not have his best game against Panama because he was operating within the same conservative system.
Let's not forget Semenyo as well. He faced a similar challenge against Panama and was relatively ineffective in the first half, largely because of the tactical approach. Once the team became more adventurous and attacked with greater freedom, the attacking players naturally looked more dangerous.
That is why I don't think the comparison should be based solely on individual performances in those matches. The bigger factor is the coach's game plan. Any attacker asked to operate within a defensive setup will find it difficult to express themselves and make a significant impact. Ultimately, their performances are heavily shaped by the tactical approach used in each half.
The same thing you people said about Ernest Nuamah when he had a good game against Wales. You people were all over the place saying he should Start in Ghana's next match. But when he featured against Panaman, he didn't see top. You guys should learn to shut up and allow the coach to do his job. Brandon is a good player, a lethal weapon against any opponent, but he will start from the Bench in line with strategy and game plan. Mo kasa koraa dodo
