      It’s a shame you couldn’t find a mid-handicapper to test them as well. Someone with a typical swing speed for a 12-16 handicap. Of course the Taylormade Tour response sells itself on the putting green- it’s very easy to line up.

      It’s the greatest ball for putting ever made, that’s for sure. I literally keep 2 in my bag and only bring em out to putt. I very rarely 3 putt anymore.

      51yrs, 17.1 hcp. Tried many balls and the best 2 for me, that I think anyway, are TM Speedsoft and Srixon Z-star xv. Very different balls but I had better results than with others i tried. Everybody is different.

      Cool video… I am a scratch player here in oz and have been using the Pro V1 since the evolution of the original Tour Balata 100 Compression to what he have now. As I am now getting older at 56 I am looking for ways to keep up with how far these young blokes hit it, while not losing any greenside control. I have hit every ball in the market including all the Wilsons including the Triads and new Staff models. While they all feel very similar to the Pro V1 they and obviously create similar stats on the simulator, it is not until you get out on the course and see how each ball reacts of different putting surfaces. Lucky for me all of the local courses are the premier Sand Belt courses here in Melbourne. I have found that while these balls created similar results in the simulator, the reality is that each performs quite differently on the different grasses used on Australian greens. After many rounds and lots of testing, the ball I am now using is the Taylormade Tour Response in White (no color band) which actually provides much more spin control for me and how I hit my approach shots. Of all the current balls, it spins more than the Pro V1, the Wilson, Callaway and even the Taylormade TP5 or TP5x. It provides similar spin for me on Bent grass, Poa, Bermuda and Paspalum. I can literally "pull the string" with the Tour Response and find myself taking spin off many short approach shots. Exceptional putting feel and if you close your eyes – it feels like a Pro V1.

      PS. my driver speed is 165kph.

      Triad due to price, but the alignment tool and the hi vis colors making them easier to find is possible cause for upcharge

      The Wilson Triad and Staff Model are also supposed to have very low dispersion. Did that show up in your test by chance?

      Rollout distance would be a great metric to add to this especially for the LW and PW, compliments the spin/descent metrics with the actual performance metric

      You said the average swing speed is 90-94 mph – therefore the Tour Response is better for the average player. I have used them all and the Tour Response is the best on the market at the moment for me (90 mph) at Driving, Irons, Chips and Putting. I especially like the higher launch it provides with the irons.

      Used to play pro v1. Then tried both balls. Triad the clear winner. Please note that I play 5 days per week so my comments is after many rounds with both balls. Highly re commend the Triad

      Great video. Have you tried the newer PXG Xtreme Tour and Tour X? I recently gamed the Tour X, and was very happy with them. Would love to see you do a video on them.

      Was playing TM Project A, which then became Tour Response for several seasons. Sorry, but I can't stand the big yellow stripe thing, so I'll give the Triad a go. Thanks for the info and all the balls you hit!

      Great comparison video. I have 86 mph driver speed and TP5 works amazing for me because it stops on the green. Would like to get into a less expensive ball but roll out is not an option. Its tiring watching other videos pushing me into a distance ball. Not for me . 6 yards farther on a drive means nothing when you are 15 feet from the pin instead of 5. Rant over😊.

      I'm a Triad player. I tried the TaylorMade. It's a nice ball, but it came down to feel on and around the green for me. Preferred the Wilson. Speaking of compression, I noticed on the recent MyGolfSpy ball test for 2025 that, for mid-swing speed golfers (95 mph) several high compression balls out performed the 'softer' balls. Srixon Z-Star XV, Wilson Staff, Calaway Chrome Tour and Tour X. Be interesting to see a ball test with uber soft balls up to hard balls with mid-swing speed.

      Side question about your simulator. Just a few questions. What is the impact screen hanging from? Also, the black curtains, what are they connected or hanging from?

      I'm going from the q star tour to the tour response
      the tour had more deviance left to right and vice versa on my hybrids and fairway woods
      off the big stick, the response is longer and straighter than then tour.
      mid irons are the same
      now i play the yellow response, peace ppl

      Great video. But I’m curious as to how the Q Star Tour ball compares in the mix.

      Now, I don’t know my current swing speed, but I would say that my swing speed is somewhat lower, due to age & arthritis slowing things down perhaps more than a tad, over what I would have done a decade ago.

      I would like to add that the Wilson traid's durability blows all 3 piece urethane balls out of the water. As someone who bashes a tonne of balls on a simulator the wilson(although not my gamer) is the one I use for my sim cause its durability is insanely amazing.

      Great info. First time viewer. Subscribed. Question: I’m 71 yrs old, have a 85-90 mph driver swing speed, and a 75 mph 7 iron swing speed. What are some of the better golf balls for me to try? I like a softer feeling ball, but I’m open to play the ball that is best for me. Any thoughts?? Thanks!!
