Mate, you’ve inspired so much. I’m Center back myself and didn’t always feel comfortable on my feet but literally used to watch you play and simply try what you do and I have grown from strength to strength. Now being much more comfortable higher up the pitch and much calmer when playing out the back. And best of all playing wherever I want when playing 5 aside. General John Stones, I don’t know you personally but I love you! 💙 The honour and pride you play with every game is a true testament of a proper professional. I live in Cape Town, South Africa and have never seen you play for our club in person but whenever I saw you in the lineup it brought genuine joy to my heart.
