  1. watching matt and tia dominate the games was so much fun to see. they were just head and shoulders above everyone it was crazy

  2. What's the injury rate on this 'Sport'?

Highly technical exercises performed in a competitive circuit for speed/time – a nice recipe for disaster when the fatigue weakens the core, back, hips and knees.

I give CROSSFIT a lot credit for bringing Olympic lifting, Gymnastic Movements and Calisthenics back into prominence in the Fitness Industry – they're ALL great training modalities.

BUT, my doubts are due to the placing them together into Circuits for Times Competitions – which often end up in injuries.
Chiropractors and Physical Therapists are well acquainted with CROSSFIT's injuries

Instead – I would separate the Strength/Weight Training Movements into one Competition:
A 6 Lift Strength Portion: the sum of 1 rep maxes on the Powerlifts (bench, squat, deadlift) AND the Olympic Lifts (snatch, clean&press, clean&jerk)

Then the other competitive section would be an Bodyweight only Obstacle Course that requires climbing, swinging, jumping, crawling, balancing, etc

And finally, a STRONGMAN section that includes heavy pushing, carrying, throwing and pulling of implements/weight/sleds, etc.

That pretty much covers all aspects of Strength, Athleticism, and Speed/Stamina.
