It's amazing to me that I've scoured the entire internet for a single Paraguayan denouncing our team but haven't found a single one. So I'll be the first one. Whatever we played was not football. I'm so ashamed and embarrassed. We went from everyone cheering us on to being the world's laughing stock. I was so proud that we beat Germany but it was entirely tainted by how we played against France. What breaks my heart the most is that I'm the only Paraguayan that feels like this. My entire country is partying and celebrating like we did amazing. We played so dirty and it's horrible that our entire country encourages this. I grew up playing soccer in Paraguay and would see this style of play and would call it out. I'm so sad and angry to be honest. Us defending this disgraceful behavior says a lot about us, and I'm so ashamed. All Paraguayans might come after me because of this comment but I don't care. I'm so sad and heartbroken. We should all learn from Cape Verde.
