I believe we are getting a good striker in Callum Wilson. If he gets the correct service from Miggy, ASM and Shelvey he could do the business for us. It's good money for Bournemouth to help bolster your own squad. He's gonna get regular game time in my opinion and he could quickly come a fans favourite. Joelinton isn't a striker he doesn't do it for me. He's more a left winger. Steve Bruce has obviously given Wilson guarantees.

Its shame it didn't end on a high with Wilson but for the price we bought him for, the importance of his goals in both the championship and the prem and the price we are selling him for, he has to go down as one of the clubs best ever signings

I agree with your sentiments Sam & Mogran. I think he can leave with the respect from the fans. He's been a fantastic player for us and it would be rough on him having to step down into the Championship. At the same time, he has been off the boil for the last 18 months and I think us going down does give us an opportunity to clear out some of the high earners who have been with the club for a few years and look to the next wave of talent to pass through the club. I have every faith that JT will do a sterling job at rotating the squad throughout the season providing us with the depth in the squad we need for a challenging Championship season.
3 favourite Callum goals: Goal vs Bolton in the game that got us promoted (May 2015). 1st goal vs West Ham (assist by Franno) @ Upton Park (August 2015) and for 3rd favourite, it's got to be that "Touch of Magic" goal vs West Ham at the Vitality (ended 3-3)!

IMO Callum Wilson would have scored allot more goals last season if it wasn't for the fact that he was playing in a very poor Bournemouth side last season. Newcastle have some very good attacking players like St-Maximin, Almiron and potentially Fraser who will link up really well with him – as well as Jonjo Shelvey's incredible long and short passing ability to Wilson could potentially cause defences problems. So i think its a very good move for Wilson. As for Bournemouth i was gutted when you went down, hope you come strait back up!

I think it's a win win for both clubs. Bournemouth get a good fee and we get a striker who although coming off his worst season still scored 4 times as many as Joelinton and we're getting him for half the price.
Bournemouth have enough to come straight back up. Adam Smith is a good player, Lewis Cook, Brooks, Gosling will be more than good enough for the Championship, Daniels, Lerma, Billing bossed the Championship when he was with Huddersfield, Solanke can surely find his feet down there too. Travers looked good when he came in for a bit before and you have experience as well with Steve Cook and Francis.
