Goalkeeper is probably the toughest position to buy. There aren't many great and reliable keepers. Tielemens and Digne will be tough to replace but there's two players I think will be tougher than anyone else to replace. Emi M and Ollie. Good keepers and a nailed on 15 a season striker are absolute golddust.
emi is clearly happy with us, even if hes looking at options. Its fair for him to keep his options open in case we tell him we need him to go. Id rather run his contract down till 2029 and let him go wherever he wants on a free, or just keep him till hes done and retires (unless 10m is the difference between life or death on the finances). Wouldnt ever wana see him as our number 2 but dont see the point in getting 10m for him unless were planning to sign a keeper on 50k a week for 10m to save 100k a week. we pay him 150k a week because hes that good and he deserves it! saved us so many points in every season!

He’s got some serious passion, absolute unit in defense, not afraid to put in a last ditch needed challenge (as we know) and would be a great fill in for Onana now that he’s out for the foreseeable. He also seriously knows how to rustle some feathers and get someone else a booking.
Yes he’s 31, but 25 million really isn’t that much for a player nowadays. I think he’d bring the needed physicality back to our midfield which we’d need for the Champions League this season

Any opinions on Denis Zakaria of Monaco or Guela Doue of Strasbourg? Both had good world cups. Under 30mil price tag think. Zakaria a bit old but super fit. Doue a great young player.
