Cant wait!
An interesting comparison test comes down to preference, do you prefer an iron look feel or hybrid look, and are you after distance or control, most likely only better players would opt for the crossover
I just got the G425 hybrid and love it. Easy to hit and at my age (61) gives me a little more confidence.
I’m getting fitted in May for new irons and a 3 hybrid. Thanks for the great video, this will help me a lot. Love 2nd Swing!
I didn't know that crossover existed. I've never gotten on well with hybrids. Maybe I'll give the crossover a shot. Cheers
20k subscribers….now….wait…now…wait….soon…
The Hybrid is listed at D1 swing weight while the heavier Crossover is D2. Is that what your versions were at with the tour shafts? Do you think bumping the hybrid swing weight would have helped you feel and control the clubface better?
Would love to see you compare these against the G425 7 Wood?
Love the comparison, could we get some testing comparing driving iron vs hybrid vs fairway woods off the tee as well as off the ground?
Hi Thomas, great vid. I was wondering when you plan to conduct a head to head test of various utility irons?
I would love to see more slower swing speed comparisons….. I barely hit my driver 270! 😂😂 ok, ok….. 250……😳🤔
7 wood > both it’s not close easier to hit
All newer Utility iron test next?
Feedback-
Thomas if I could offer some feedback, I don’t know if it’s the sky back drop or the color of the tracers, but from a viewers point of view once it apex’s it hard to see the tail end sometimes. Just wanted to throw that out there
I went through a lot of stuff with hybrids, crossovers and woods – I ended up with 3 and 5 wood =) When i Figured out how to game woods, they are easy to hit – for me I just hit them like my 5 or 4 iron, nothing fancy about it and they are just super easy to launch.
Never thought to try a 7 wood, got me thinking
Love my G410 3 hybrid!
Yeah I recently got the g425 hybrid great stopping power. I have a lower ball flight so it works for me. I must say I do learn allot from your videos. I
Having watched this video I do find the g425 sometimes goes a bit all over due to my swing speed which is moderate to fast
I've tried all sorts of hybrids and can't seem to get them to work near as well as my gapr lo
I've had the crossover 3 for almost 2 months now and I love it. I'm getting close to the same distance as my 3 wood but with a higher launch angle.
I have a distance hole in my bag that these will help. I might hit the hybrid off the tee more, too
Hey guys – hope you're all well. I've just ordered these when getting a fitting. I'm a little unsure whether I got the right shaft for the club. I've got a couple questions:
1. How much difference does the shaft make? Is it something I can get used to with practice?
2. Can I change the shaft if needed to?
Thanks in advance. Happy golfing!
Great comparison thank you so much!
That's a bit simplistic. Not mentioned is that the 3-hybrid is statically an inch longer. It's also a terrible shaft to put in an iron if you want stopping power. If you want a driving iron with rollout, it's perfect. But then to say you want stopping power, well, you get one or the other. If you want the iron to stop, it won't fly quite as long, and has to have a higher-trajectory shaft in it.
Hybrids are designed to spin and land, not carry out. Driving irons are designed to carry out, and not spin. ¯_(ツ)_/¯
Your distance is maddd
