Yeah, innocent fault… and it wasn't even a faul, but it resulted in a yellow card for an innocent player of Argentina. 100% deserved yellow/red card. Rolling on the ground without a contact like both his legs were broken… and NO, It's NOT the first yellow card for simulation.

I respect him for standing up for his players and he’s absolutely right about the amount of fouls that were ignored throughout the game, but a dive is and always has been against the rules. Why break the rules when you already have a yellow card? Like the Egyptian coach, it puzzles me how they deflect from their own mistakes while solely pointing the fingers at the referee.

Breel Embolo fliegt mit Gelb-Rot vom Platz, doch der Trainer sucht die Schuld reflexartig beim Schiedsrichter und dem VAR. Das ist billige Alibi-Politik. Wahre Größe und Fairplay zeigen sich nicht beim Siegesjubel, sondern im Moment der Niederlage. Wer Respekt und Fairness predigt, darf sie auf der Pressekonferenz nicht vermissen lassen. Mit diesem Lamento hat Yakin das positive Bild der Eidgenossen völlig unnötig beschädigt.
