It’s been done in the states for a while now. (No heading allowed at age 11 or under, heading allowed in games but limited in practice at ages 12-14 I think).
what a load of lefty shite…its an integral part of football…we feed child untra processed crap energy drinks with 20 harmful chemicals in them. And hes worried about 14 ounces of air…..total bollocks
i feel like varane retired way too early he was essentially retired when he was only 31 it’s crazy how young he was but how much he accomplished overall in his short career. he was already a legend of the game by the time he was 28 which is crazy when you deep that as well just a shame it never fully worked out for him whilst he was here tho ….
Listen football was for men , now I get it , we have to move on with the times , but is it not the price you pay for playing football and kids don't head the ball already.. I was getting my head punched in by my older brother until I left home haha 😂😂 , bunch a millionaire melts
Future football can no longer tackle balls. As it may cause injuries. Or best no contact. Then will not have injuries. Cannot kick ball too. Else will cause injury to foot too
My kids both play football for a local club in Greater Manchester, and they’ve never been able to head the football in training or in matches. It’s actually an automatic free kick if they do it in a game. It’s good for the health of their brain I’m sure, but they have no idea how to head the ball, how to defend a cross or how to attack a cross. I do wonder what effect this will have on English teams moving forward once these kids have moved into the professional game. England has always been a country that relies heavily on set pieces and having big Centre backs and Centre forwards who are beasts at winning headers.
nothing do with activity its diet experimental jabs won't help either , before ww2 this wasn't a thing at all look it up the balls are alot safer now than the old leather cases that would get heavier in rain
This is spot on! 👏 Dinosaurs will moan but young kids brains and pencil necks arent built to sustain impact. Its often small repetitive impacts that do the damage.
Im in my 30s, haven't been able to head the ball since I was 23 and have ongoing brain trauma problems. A large part of this was from heading the ball so often as a kid. Practicing, trying to win headers and blocking shots to be tough and strong.
You can still instill those things in kids without damaging their brains.

That’s how it is in the US. Kids cannot perform headers until 6th grade (12 yr old)
Great player, but im sorry no heading a football. Whats next goal kicks have to be along the ground. Nahh thats a bit too soft for me
Is it groundbreaking over in Europe? Yikes.

Great baller and nice guy. Unlucky with injuries
This is actually already in place for all of the youth teams in Belgium
Arsenal is not going to be happy with this 😂😂😂
Como's academy will be equivalent to la masia

We don't need footballers to be intelligent. By there logic boxing UFC should be banned completely.
It’s gonna have a great double benefit. Less head related injuries and more technical footballers
That's brilliant 💪🔥🔥
GAMES GONE SOFT
Class
"Cross it to him!"
"I can't! He already hit a header this month."
Good on them for looking out for the youth though.

Wow I would never have known this
Anyone noticed the increase in players suffering De Ligt style back injuries.

Varane is right, heading can be learned and even mastered without going too hard on their bodies when they're young
I thought this was banned already for under 10s in the UK
while some people are saying stuff like "games gone"

Sooner or later they will banned headers and then ball above shoulders. Then overhead kicks.
The world need to listen to this. Dont gamble on others life

You might as well stop playing the game end of.

Never crossed my mind at all but in an instance:
Heck yeah it's a great call.
Why hasn't anyone implemented this?
Why haven't this crossed my mind?
I teach youth soccer in America, and we don't allow headers until U12
