MLS is better in the middle of the table, but Rangers and Celtic are generally above MLS level play.
I hope Dest can find a mid-table club in one of the top-five leagues for a few seasons before moving back up. He is still young and has plenty of time to further develop.
Dest should go on loan at Chelsea. They need wingbacks and Dest is in his best position at wingback play he will have elite CBs to cover for him defensively allowing him to flourish going forward.
Be honest- who here watches any amount of Scottish soccer? Not all- but most of the comparison's are parroted, blind speculation pulled out of the a$$.
6 month loan of Dest sounds kind of ideal actually- would be much better than staying at Barca- as well as better than a permanent move. With Chilwell and James out he'll play for sure and be exposed to top level competition- Top 4 PL race- CL. Good stuff. A permanent deal and he'd likely be benched when James/Chilwell return. Dest excels in a loan to Chelsea- he can write his own ticket. Other than a surprise move to… Bayern- this seems the best option available.

I haven't lost hope quite yet. If Aaron long is now in contention to get a call up for WCQ, not having played in almost year, then it's not too crazy to think Reyna can make it with just 3 months without a competitive start.

So not exactly old Trafford. But in 2017 (I believe) I was at the OG Crew stadium supporting my boys. I wasn't supposed to be there. My college teammate had a death in his family and gifted me the ticket. I went with my other teammate who was a Red Bull fan. We played the red bulls. That Game Justin Meram scored the second fastest playoff goal in MLS history. We played long from the start and Kei Kamara headed the ball forward to on running Meram where he finished with ice in his veins. Love it. Go ahead and crap allover my story. But that was magical day for this Crew, Soccer, and Ohio boy.
I don't think Chelsea for 6 months would be a bad idea, not as a sale though. Chilwell and James are a step above Dest and long turn he needs to play every day.

It seems likely that Xavi doesn’t highly value Dear. Tessman was up against a very side but he is young and leaning. He has been piling up minuets. A better option as a back up to Adams. Oh Josh! Now I understand why he hasn’t been scoring goals. He is into babies.
Chandler has been well in good side occupying a good table position. If I were Greg I would bring him in for his experience. The youngsters need that in the dress room also when direction is lost on the pitch

Meh. Dest probably isn't Tuchel and Chelsea's kind of player. Not in mid-season, for sure. It will take too long for him to learn Tuchel's system and Dest has too many defensive weaknesses

Rangers and Celtic would walk MLS? I used to believe that. But Christian Ramirez is one of the leading goal scorers in the SPL. He wasn't close to being a top striker in MLS. Ian Harkes is a starter in the SPL. He was a reserve by his second year at DC. CCV is one of the top players in the SPL. Yet he can't get into the US ahead of MLSers/alums MRobinson, Zimmerman, and McKenzie. Sands transferring to Rangers will get him opportunities in UCL and Europa league. That will put him in the shop window to make a move upwards. All the while, he'll be able to get acclimated to European football without having to fight tooth and nail for his playing life or having to learn a foreign language.

What I'd like to know is how much do Rangers and Celtic spend on rosters… theoretically, they wouldn't be able to compete in MLS if they are spending a lot more than whatever the salary cap is in MLS.
And if the other MLS teams could raise their spending to match Rangers and Celtic, then I don't believe them winning it all would be a lock (still possible of course, but not a given)…
