      He's actually a really good player. Very attacking and also a good dribbler. Xavi didn't see him in his plans and I feel bad for Dest. I Hope he succeeds in AC Milan.

      I doubt we have been watching the same match even the friendly against Man City.
      I can wait here while you rewatch the match, this guy was everywhere but his position. The weak-link was obvious and every time ball moves to his flank my heart starts palpating like…yep, good players will turn Sergio Dest in and out, upside down.

      So, no I disagree he doesn't meet the standard of the current team. It's obvious but maybe bcos he hasn't played for awhile but go back and watch the friendly Match with Man City to get a full picture.

      I honestly don’t rate dest especially for two reasons

      1. Defensively, he lacks that sense of positioning at a right back

      2. Decision making in the final third
      Dest can dribble past players on a good day but great fullbacks are known for their delivery into the box

      Dest is not known for giving precise passes into the box

      Many times just like semedo he dribbles and at the end of it all give a wrong pass or just lose the ball unnecessarily

      At this era in football it’s not all about your dribbling skills it’s about that assist that keeps us alive in the game

      And that’s where bellerin and Alonso are much better options

      Having a good defense is great but scoring a lot of goals gives you better chances of winning the match and at this point having dest is useless if he can’t find lewandowski in the box and also lacking defensively

      Roberto is not a great defender but gives a lot of options going forward

      For me it makes absolute sense to let him go and develop as a player because it seems the current squad is way ahead of him and there’s no time for him to start finding his foot when the competition is at its peak
