      Pretty good deal when you think about the fact that weber isn't playing anymore anyway

      if wild trade for weber its pure cap circumvention seeing they bought out suter and parise webers ltir cap would basically negate one of these contract hits not sure nhl will allow itand if they do its ultra sketchy and canucks should sue for the loungo cap hit we got shafted with for last few yrs

      This could be huge. In fact, it could be one of the smartest moves you could make. In this scenario, HuGo would have all of the bargaining power. I want whoever is reading this to think about this very carefully. If you're the Wild, you're essentially making a move in order to keep a player like Fiala on your team. Now technically, HuGo could go out and make the argument that this could bargain the value of what Kevin Fiala on the open market would cost, no? It sure seems like it. Now, what would a Kevin Fiala cost? Well, he's a 25 years old former 11th round pick, who currently has 49 points in 54 games, with a +10. He also had 40 points in 50 games last year, with a -2. He's clearly improved his game even further. I'd say a player that's on pace for 74 points on a mediocre Wild team, should be worth around at least a 1st and a prospect, no? This type of deal could be the key for HuGo to move on from the Carey Price contract… Let that sink in. Think of the positives. Now think of the negatives. It's a win win for whoever gets the contract.

      Sorry, the explanation is false. To make it simple, teams can spend 81.5m on "active" players. Having 7.6m on LTIR doesn't allow a team to spend another 7.6m on top of 81.5m. And it's false that Tampa gains additional cap by having Seabrook. Chicago liked the trade because it may/may not affected their bonuses and they didn't want to carry over bonuses into next season. Tampa didn't have bonuses so they aren't affected by this. Granted the Hawks had to take Tyler Johnson and his 5m cap

      Sure. It could be good for the Wild in terms of leadership and blue line depth. Shea never said he was retiring, but he's as beat up as old Chevett. Still has one or two good years in him. Montreal needs to start over. It fits.

      Having weber on LTIR doesnt gain you any extra cap space. The cap is still the cap for your active roster. The logic of that makes no sense
