This….means the world to me. Been watching highlights on SB3 since a kid (I'm 33 now). THIS was the game my father always spoke about, how Joe was his hero. How much of an impact it had on him…years later I'd realize it more so,because my dad was 13-14 when the jets won…recently they finally showed the actual game on NFL network and I was so happy to watch. NFL Films speed is one thing, the actual game another. My father just died three weeks ago. So for me to see this, kind of soothes me. It helps me reminisce and reconnect with my father. So I'm writing this with tears of joy, cause it feels like they won the game today, just now as I'm watching it. Thanks. This brought some tears but also a few smiles to my face.

I’m posting this on the 50 yr anniv of this game a great milestone. I wasn’t around for this but I certainly understand the historical impact as someone who happened to be born in queens
Namath very similar to Dan Marino.
Any sad jet fans watching after super bowl 53?
I like how the official signaled the Colts field goal no good on their first drive.
I don’t think this game looked like it was rigged like Bubba Smith said, but not throwing to Orr is really suspect. Also, Morral’s 2nd INT looked suspect as well. Supposedly, Matte was in a good mood and partying after the game. Why? His fumble was a big reason they lost. I was expecting to see smoking guns, but the reality is there isn’t any. If it was rigged, it was very subtle.
The Colts had their chances. So many turn overs by Baltimore. (INT/FUMBLES) Missed FG's too. Kicked themselves in the foot. Missed that WR wide open down the sideline. #41, RB of the Colts played great. Snell should have been MVP. Great highlights, thanks! Coach Chuck Noll was an assistant for the Colts, next stop… Pittsburgh. Wow!!
Reading a book about the 1968 Jets and this game. A number of Jets, including several assistant coaches, did not have much respect for the Colts, whom they considered slow, somewhat old and predictable. They also felt Oakland, whom the Jets beat in Super Bowl III, was a better team, and that other AFL squads, such as San Diego and Kansas City, had better players at certain positions.
John Mackey deserves a lot more credit. Of all the tight ends that era John Mackey was like trying to tackle a house on a diesel engine. Look at that first BALT play. He gets the ball and breaks 3 tackles and it looks like two of them get it really bad in the head.
AS a non-American I've learned about American football thanks to the video games, it was the only way to learn about NFL back in past, now thanks to the globalization and the Internet the NFL is in every place you could imagine. However is a nice sport and i could say i am a JETS Fan , but I don't understand why is so popular in United States and is getting popular around the world. Watching a game in the present is hard to be enjoyable in my opinion. Too much commercial ads, and you see a lot of times different rulings under the same circumstances seems like it is based in which team are they ruling for. After watching this game and the way they use play now i understand why is such a great sport, too bad in the present the matches don't look like that.
Colts threw the game

"Mr. NY Jet"
"Mr. AFL"
God bless our pro football heroes from a by-gone era.
Jets Time!!!!! After this is nothing, hm!!!
Bills could never bozos
Earl Morrall really sucked in this game.
Why in blue blazes didn't Baltimore try for a field goal on that 4th and 5, making it 16 to 10, and the Colts got the ball back. Don Shula really goofed on that one!
Every guy on the field played hard! you can see the difference from then and now
I love how enthusiastic the officials are when they don't have the microphone to explain the call.
Who the heck was number 13? It looks like the dude didn’t have any pads on😳 play after play sounds like cars wrecking on the freeway smashing into each other
I was a junior in high school when this game happened. A tough year for Baltimore. The Colts and the Orioles both lost when they should have won!
