  1. They love making the sport more boring, they hate it when things happen that make the fans happy and entertained

  2. Banning having a personality wow, next they will ban talking when on the field because it hurts the other players ears, stooooooopid

  3. I found it strategic and competitive, not to mention delightfully cheeky. Everyone who watched the 2022 wc will never forget the entertainmemt he provided.

  4. Ppl commenting on favour of this, clearly never touched a ball in a field, they only played FIFA in a PS, talking about unsportmanship… hahaha you know how many unsportmanship actions are in a game, the trash talks in corners or faults, or whenever the ref isn't near, when local team is winning an you have 2 min left, suddenly you cant find a single ball anymore, the amount of tippitaps that the player does when he takes the penalty, when there is a fault and a player stand in front of the spot so they cant take it quickly, ppl faking faults to make them appear more dangerous than they were, and I can keep going on and on and on. At this point it's better to throw a coin, at least the keeper has a 50/50 chances with that.

  5. Yeah, Lets make penalties even more one sided… having the keepers challenge the penalty takers composure was becoming a great equalizer

  6. A better rule to add is to give a yellow card to players that stomp on the penalty spot before the opponent takes a pen. It was infuriating to see how an Al Ahly player casually stomped on the spot before Modrić missed and almost slipped after taking the pen.

  7. Well I’m glad there banning what he did
It’s just straight up dirty play that shouldn’t be allowed to happen, especially at big competitions like the world cup

  8. So, they're will be no stutter steps. Just straight walk up, take kick. get back to half way line. No celebrating.

  9. Determined to eliminate joy from the game = IFAB.
Liked their changes for goal kicks… etc but this is a rubbish change. Don't approve ! do not approve in march

  10. Everytime someone that is not european win anything big in Football they always find that something was wrong with the rules and change it.

  11. The rule changes on penalties before this have been in favour of the keeper: needing to have only one foot in the line instead of both and banning the paradinha (stopping) just before the kick. I don't think that all mental games are the same, and there are clearly legitimate ones, but others should be controlled. Wasting time by kicking the ball away or not going to the line (for example) should be restricted.

+Penalties are far from random. For instance, the more time the kicker takes to take the penalty the higher the chances for him to miss it.
