  1. how many pairs of glove do go through a season? Just Curious if they wear out fast on the groomers while your drag them. Awesome to see you back on Youtube!!

  2. You should also do a cross pollination video based off your skateboarding, or long boarding. Because my cousin Paul is really into skateboarding and your videos helped him learn basic carving techniques in two days.

  3. man, I found this channel today and you blew my mind! I pulled out an old ratty board i had to hack parts off so my boots would fit, and i'm going snowboarding. thanks for all the tips.

  4. Turn analysis.. Stuff of science and beautiful art. Qupla'! My hill opens this weekend.. But had a Christmas to mid January covid closure. What. Pom Vek.

  5. Hey Ryan! I remember You left the link for purchasing overlays on sleeves for carving some how. Is it still available to buy?

  6. Hi, Dear Ryan Knapton, your video is amazing, would you want to try rechargeable hand warmer more convenient and safe than chemical hand warmer to helping you keep warm whole winter, we want to send free sample, here is our website, https://www.ocoopa.com/, if you have interesting , please contact this email

  7. When he describes you taking pressure off the board, allowing the edge switch to happen, isn't it the boards camber initiating that release? I don't understand why he isn't talking about camber and board feedback which is what makes that switch so effortless and also fun because it's like flying.

  8. Sick as usual. So helpful having outside analysis of Ryan’s carving. It’s so natural to him, having knowledgeable pro break it down from a different perspective is really helpful. I could watch that Slow mo turn all day.
Just pulled the trigger on 27.5 cm wide Donek for my 14 year old so he can lay out carves with neutral stance and do jumps. Boot drag sucks at any age. cause “friends don’t let friends drag boots”

  9. This breakdown was so great. Never thought of it in terms of that "easing off" to let the board travel under you and shift your weight to the other side. Also, although he didn't touch on it because it's not relevant to skiing, those freeze frames really display and drive home the concept of "de-cambering" the board that Ryan's covered in other videos. Awesome!

  10. I'm seeing a pretty dramatic shoulder rotation on the transition (toward heel edge) into the heel edge turn. I wonder if that's a conscious choice or just something that happens naturally, because I don't see it on the transition to toe edge as much.

  11. I was about to ask, how to do an emergency turn when carving fast, and his explanation just answered my question.
    Imma try this tomorrow

  12. I am watching these great videos purely for riding my onewheel. It’s extremely helpful. Thanks a lot 👍👍👍🙏🙏🙏

  13. Ive always tried to ride this way even before discovering the master Ryan Knapton. Its such a smooth style thats hardly seen on the slopes I call it “surfing the mountain”

  14. What is your setup!? I feel like I have a similiar build body wise. I have a Libtech Coldbrew and it just feels a litte too wide for me, Like I am riding a Cadillac haha. I'm size 11.5-12 depending on the boot.

  15. As a skier and boarder is was interesting to get an expert skiers view on a first class snowboard carving technique. Great content as always.

I've always maintained the sports are essentially the same. After riding for 20 years I found it relatively easy to pickup skiing a few years ago and expert skier friends have often found the same in reverse.

  16. 4:50 upto 4:55 This is where Donek is unbreakable and undestructable. At that angle of snowboard angulation of 45deg and above I have cracked 3 snowboards already. Santa cruise, ride twin pig and ride superpig, all gone to the bin. Apart of the build quality of course I think the stiffness of the board has massive play here. I went for 11 out of 10 flex and after 3 years of hardcore carving up to 70-90 deg board angle turns with my weight of 90kg the board is like new 🙂 I love Donek, will be getting a new one soon with a larger radius. Kapla!!!!
