I'm a Benfica fan and to me António Silva is an absolute diamond and probably the best young defender in the world u-20 right now, but this is completely stupid. Van Dijk was a complete MONSTER when he was younger. He was stronger, faster, better with the ball, it's not a fair comparison. Yes the man is looking like he's finished at the moment, but as someone who watched him play in his younger days he has António Silva beat in everything except calm and maturity when he was the same age.

I'm 42 and I'm safe saying he is one of the most composed CB's for his age, in fact he reminds of Maldini which to me is the best CB I ever seen play, in that he's not scared of anyone even at 19, he will charge you he won't wait back, he goes alot for slide tackles and he's just smart and composed, I mean who can say as a CB you played agains Vlahovic, Mbappe, Messi and Neymar at just 19, in your 1st season as a senior and didn't lose? He's going to be a serious case, trust me, sure he makes some minor mistakes but who doesn't at 19….as a 2 CB defense ofc, you are more exposed…
