      As a madridista and seeing that Luka Modric is already in his final seasons, I would love for Charles De Ketelaere to take his place.

      But on the other hand, I would also love Charles De Ketelaere to lead the awakening of a sleeping giant like AC Milan, please be patient with him (because he has huge potential) like we had with Vinicius in Madrid.

      Milan fans are definitely not his haters. The biggest mistake he has made thus far is not staying to thank fans at the end of the game. And He knows which game I am talking about. He seems to be rushed and wanting to do too much too soon. I can see that he can be special but he needs to take his time and definitely, work hard to understands his team mates and the pattern of play of the team. We want him to explode onto the scene but maybe he will take longer than a kvara or even, God forbid this comparison, kaka, to settle.

      when carrying the ball he looks good, but his positioning when he is not carrying the ball is not good and when he is in the air he is not good either

      His situation reminds me of the one Hakan had with us for awhile. He needs to step up, but he also needs kind of different chemistry around him with different offensive situations and teammates around.
      I'd try him starting as RW with Brahim Diaz as trequartista, letting both continuously switch roles in their roaming.
      Like it happened in the second half against Napoli in San Siro match, even though that game was CDK the one who played as trequartista and Diaz was on left side. Starting as RW and with Leao attacking space on left side, he can also dish long thrown balls to Rafa (even though we tend to use him on the ball and not off).
      We'll see, to me he's clearly gifted in terms of pure techique in tight spaces, dribbling, progression, vision, passing, his left touch is great and has size. The cons are his shyness, inability to win tackles, tendency to disappear when he doesn't feel involved, physically not ready, his slow speed on first steps cause he obviously has long legs and he's tall, the fact like Calhanoglu he clearly is a hybrid midfielder-trequartista-winger without a specific dimension and this makes his integration more difficult.
      Everybody compared him to Kakà and me too did at start, but seeing his game, strenghts and flaws to me his ideal ceiling looks more like a less flashy and more "nordic" version of Rivaldo. I know it sounds a super stretch, but I'm talking about ideal ceiling if everything goes 100% right. Everybody attacking him right now, but we need patience. This kind of players are somehow too advanced and somehow difficult to understand.

      Unfortunately with a manager like Pioli for Charles is too hard to blossom, after the first few months of adaptation in a new team, new country, now the coach is putting him in the wrong position asking him defensive indications. Give this gem to a coach like Ancelotti or even Spalletti and you would be surprise, this guy creates football and see spaces others cant see.
